Get to Know Your Coach

Hi!  This is me, Lisa, finishing my first Ironman in Iowa.   I was so happy to cross that finish line!  It was a goal of mine for over 15 years, when I first started competing in triathlons.  I trained a ton and definitely had my ups and downs, but it was an amazing feeling to finish.  I want to help others have a similar feeling, whether through finishing a triathlon or running event, or anything that makes you feel genuinely good about yourself.

I have been an athlete all my life, playing in sports or running to escape the world.  Recently, through training and injury recovery, I have been exploring the more holistic side of working out.  I have added yoga and meditation to my workouts to help me feel stronger both physically and mentally.

I have an amazing support crew in my family.  My husband and two kids are always up for an adventure.  I also have three crazy and sweet rescue dogs.

Here are my credentials:  I am a two-time Ironman and two-time 70.3 Ironman finisher.  I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, 200hr Registered Yoga Instructor, UESCA Certified Triathlon Coach, RunDNA L1 Certified Run Gait Analyst, Ace Fitness Orthopedic Specialist, Ace Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and NASM Certified Sunrise Yoga Teacher.  I also regularly update my Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid for Pediatrics and Adults Certification.   I graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA.

I recently took a deep dive into foot and ankle mechanics through the "When the Feet Hit the Ground, Everything Changes" continuing education course for physical therapists (and me too!).

I am currently working on a RunDNA L2 Gait Analysis certification along with Children's Yoga and several other continuing education courses.

I research extensively and constantly, exploring current ideas and technology to help our bodies and minds perform at our best.  I look forward to working with you!
